École Internationale de New York (EINY)

EINY is the only independent, French-American international school located in Gramercy. This international institution offers an academic bilingual program in French and English to students aged 3-11, from nursery through fifth grade.

In September 2013, the school will open its international middle school section with the 6th grade class. In September 2014, the school will open the 7th and 8th grade classes. The international middle school will also offer a French/English bilingual program, will continue the Mandarin program and will integrate Spanish as a fourth language.

The school is fully accredited by the French Ministry of Education and is affiliated with the Mission Laïque Française that has a network of 25 French international schools in the United States. EINY combines the rigor of France’s curriculum and the American emphasis on independent thinking with an international perspective. Teachers are certified from the French or American educational system.

ÉINY is an outstanding French-American international institution offering an academic, bilingual education in French and English in a vibrant, family-sized school. The school currently enrolls 145 students from nursery through 5th grade. Mandarin language is also taught in Grades 3-5. In September 2013, the international Middle School section will open with Grades 6-8. ÉINY excellence combines the rigor of France’s curriculum with the American emphasis on independent thinking. Faculty work closely with each child in a multicultural environment. The Enrichment Program runs every day after school, offering 35 activities in three languages.

Originally from France, Yves arrived at Ecole Bilingue (Berkeley, CA) in 1987. Since then, he has worked as a teacher and Director in five French-American international schools in the U.S. After 23 years dedicated to his passion for bilingual education, he cofounded Ecole Internationale de New York in September 2009 to respond to the increasing demand for French/English education in Manhattan. Yves used his expertise and savoir faire to create an outstanding international institution that offers academic excellence in a vibrant family-sized school. He obtained his degree in International School Leadership and speaks three languages.
