MANHATTAN - In Home Lessons Varta Academy of Musical Arts has been serving the Manhattan community since 2009, providing in home lessons in piano, violin, cello, guitar, clarinet, flute, and voice. For the busy Manhattan parent our in home lessons are a great option to ensure high quality music education for their child without leaving their home. Our carefully selected teachers are outstanding professionals holding degrees from some of the leading conservatories in the country - The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, New England Conservatory to name a few. We offer weekly lessons in the instrument of your choice at the convenience of your home! We create the program of study based on the individual needs and interests of the student. You will receive an individual calendar based on the school calendar of your child. Our ongoing registration gives you the flexibility to enroll even after the school year has begun. Depending on the age and maturity level of the student we offer 30, 45, or 60 min. lessons. We present two student recitals per school year, where all students have the opportunity to perform for a large audience. These concerts are held in a beautiful recital hall in Manhattan. At Varta Academy of Musical Arts we know what's best for your child! Under the guidance of our carefully selected faculty, educated in the leading conservatories of the country, our students greatly develop their talent and musicianship while not losing the fun of being kids! Our biannual student recitals are a celebration of our students' achievements and expression of their love of music. Coming from a family with rich traditions in music education, owner and director Varta Tchakarian was born and first educated in Eastern Europe. She holds a Master's Degree from The Juilliard School, where she continued forming as a world class educator by attending all major educational programs offered by the school. Today, she is a dedicated pedagogue who is inspired by the example of the world famous musicians with whom she has studied. MANHATTAN

Our Manhattan students enjoy music lessons in the convenience
of their home. For the busy Manhattan parent it is a great
opportunity to expose their child to a excellent music education
without having to leave their home. You can choose one or more
of the following types of music lessons:
INDIVIDUAL IN HOME LESSONS - piano lessons
- violin lessons
- cello lessons
- guitar lessons
- Flute Lessons
- Clarinet Lessons
- Voice Lessons
Children and adults are welcome! Beginner, intermediate and
advanced levels are available.
The repertoire we cover ranges from early classical to Broadway
and Rock. After the initial evaluation, we create an individual
program of study for each student, according to his/her needs.
Our goal is to lay a good foundation while having fun and
nurturing the love of music within every student. We celebrate our
students' achievements at the annual Winter and Spring Recitals.
Lessons are conducted once a week at the student's home.
Lesson duration depends on the student's age and level.
We believe that each student who is learning an instrument must
study theory and ear training. To eliminate the inconvenience of
having two lessons per week, we have created a mini theory
and ear training course. It is included in the instrumental lesson
and is taught by the instrumental teacher.
