TRIBECA LEARNING CENTER - (TLC) - at TLC we offer all our students (Tender,Loving,Care!)
TLC- Is Tribeca's best enrichment center for students with a variety of developmental needs; Our progressive, eclectic approach nurtures our students to excel at a faster rate in their academic studies. First we assess the student's needs and then the teachers will create individual educational plans to meet each child's goals. We pride ourselves in the success of the students offering tutoring in every subject. We promote the dramatic and creative arts giving students daily instruction in song, dance, music, movement, exercise, art, social studies, and science. Children will learn literacy/writing and math/science concepts utilizing a "Back to Basics" fundamental, step by step approach. We support each individual child's style of learning. Our goal is to help each child be self confident, independent, creative, and support tem to reach their fullest potential both creatively and academically!

Curriculum and Programs- Our school believes in a multicultural approach and teaches language amongst the history of a variety of cultures. We believe in promoting and reinforcing the individual child and developmentally, challenging and motivating each child to reach their individual goals. Our children are taught thematically with monthly themes around the seasons, holidays and current special areas of interests for the month derived from the students and children! Our parents have a lot of input in the program and we respect their ideas! We focus on integrating the learning content amongst the different subjects so the children can realistically learn through all the available venues in the classroom! We value the methodology of High Scope which incorporates the different learning centers in the classrooms including the dramatic play area, the blocks, the art area, the math area, the science area etc..
Summer Programs and Back to School- We are looking forward to having our program involve integrating hands on learning programs utilizing manipulatives and a variety of creative and dramatic arts classes. We will utilizing the Reggio Emilio and Project Approach to incorporate trips and walking visits to see our neighborhood and learn to appreciate the riches our community has to offer! We will be creating an atmosphere in which the children can learn through academic excellence providing individual assessments for the children to reach their goals and hopefully build the skills and logic to be accepted primarily into the elite private schools!
