One of the joys of childhood is getting into your PJs and having an adult read to you. But many kids never experience this. With the Pajama Program’s new Reading Center, many more can. This non-profit organization donates new sleep wear for infants to 12-year-olds who live in shelters and foster care, children who live in poverty, and victims of sex abuse and neglect. At the cheery new center, kids get a new pair of pajamas and a new book. The center, open by invitation only, is at 34 East 39th Street, Suite B. For more information on the program, call (212) 71 MY PJS.
