Description: Tons of purebred dogs and cats will be on hand at the world's largest showcase of dogs and cats, "AKC Meet the Breeds," in New York City on Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21 from 10am-5pm daily at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, located at 655 W. 34th St., Manhattan.

Presented by the American Kennel Club (AKC) and The International Cat Association (TICA), the fourth annual "AKC Meet the Breeds" will showcase nearly 225 purebred dogs and cats, each in their own breed booths that will be decorated to depict the history and unique traits of each breed.

In addition to meeting the breeds, guests can enjoy a variety of games, giveaways, programs, and demonstrations including dog and cat agility competitions, K9 search and rescue dog demos, a grooming techniques expo, feline fashion show, and more. Additionally, unique pet-themed gifts created by more than 100 vendors will be available for purchase.
